đź’ś Career Well-being: The part of leadership no one prepares you for

Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover:
Introverted leaders are burning out quietly. Here’s why.
Lack of career opportunities? Ready to leave? Plan your exit quietly
LinkedIn for job seekers has changed.
Last week, my healthcare plan sent me a message about granting me access to the Headspace app as part of the coverage. It felt like a sooo needed gift in times of uncertainty. I was already a fan and a former subscriber, so I was smiling.
I haven't met another human who doesn't need a little (or a lot) of pick-me-up right now. It could be a healthy meal, a walk, and even a 3-minute meditation.
Lately, I feel like a lot is happening at once: layoffs, AI disruptions, a soulless job-search process, and more. If you are a leader, you have to manage fewer people and still achieve results. That stress is real!
But how do you protect your team? How do you take care of yourself? How do you protect your peace while unemployed?
This week, my gift to you is to help you prioritize your mental health as a leader. You cannot lead while running on an empty tank. Put your oxygen mask first.

💡 Introverted leaders are burning out quietly. Here’s why.
If you feel exhausted right now, it isn't because you lack resilience.
As an introverted leader, you likely lead with deep empathy. This makes you an incredible asset, but it also means you absorb the collective stress of your team, especially when navigating leaner teams, AI disruption, and corporate restructuring.
Add the exhaustion of a modern job search to that plate, and you are facing a recipe for silent burnout.
Between Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) ghosting you and the pressure to be a "loud" thought leader online, the modern career path often feels rigged against those who prefer quiet results.
You cannot lead others or navigate a career transition from a place of total depletion. Your mental health is your most vital professional asset.
So, how do you protect it while still moving your career forward?

Here are two boundaries to set today:
The 90-Minute Rule: If you are job searching, limit your active searching (applying and cold outreach) to 90 minutes a day. Beyond that, your ROI drops, and the risk of "rejection fatigue" skyrockets. Let your optimized LinkedIn profile do the passive work for you.
The "Sunset" Rule: If you are currently employed and overwhelmed, establish a strict communication protocol with your team. State clearly that no non-emergency emails or Slack messages will be answered after 6:00 PM. Setting clear boundaries reduces the pace of "manufactured urgency."
But how do you bypass the soul-crushing job boards and tap into the "Hidden Job Market"? And what is the best way to explain a mental health gap on your resume without hurting your chances?
đź’» Lack of career opportunities? Ready to leave? Plan your exit strategy
If you missed last week's article, I discussed Navigating a Lack of Career Growth: How to Find New Leadership Development Opportunities. Deciding to leave a company is rarely about a single bad day. You’ve hit the KPIs. You've managed the team through transitions. You’ve stayed loyal. Yet the path upward has become a ceiling. If your current environment no longer offers a path forward, your next title will likely come from the outside. This article helps you build your exit plan.

Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover: You have 7 seconds. Does your profile pass the test? The part of leadership no one prepares you for Is LinkedIn your "Social Battery" drain of the day? One of the big takeaways some of my clients get with their LinkedIn profiles is this: "Wow! I didn't know my profile needed so much work. I love how it looks now. Thank you!" My goal is to ensure you love the profile and can speak about it, while it works in the background to ensure you...

It wasn't because I didn't advocate for myself or because I wasn't achieving results. I was tired of doing the same things and hoping for something new. Whenever I had...
Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover: Rank higher on LinkedIn Recruiter searchers (without posting daily) Stop treating LinkedIn like social media. Feeling stuck in the corporate noise? Try this quiet strategy. With AI flooding everywhere, companies are finding ways to run leaner teams, which means cutting staff and investing more in technology. I know this isn't fair, and many people are currently looking for another job. I hear you! I see you! But how do you find ways to...
